About Spark Literacy
Spark Literacy is an AI-powered platform that helps teachers create purposeful literacy resources in minutes, not hours. It is built around sentence-level work: punctuation, capitalisation, and the explicit sentence structures that give young writers a strong foundation.
Our philosophy
AI creates the resources, teachers guide the learning, and students do the thinking and the writing. Every student activity generated by Spark Literacy is completed by hand — students read, think, and write their responses on paper, not on a screen.
Our goal is to reduce the time teachers spend preparing resources, without replacing the reading, thinking and writing that students actually need to do to learn. Spark Literacy does the preparation work so teachers can spend more time teaching and less time formatting worksheets.
Spark Literacy is built for teachers internationally, with particular attention to classrooms in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Year and grade levels, and sentence structures, reflect the way each of these education systems describes student progress.
At the core of the platform is an editable library of explicit sentence structures that teachers can browse and search, so activities stay grounded in structures that are actually useful for the students in front of them.
