Help
A practical guide to getting the most out of Spark Literacy.
Creating your first resource
Sign in for free, then open the generator. Choose a topic, select the year or grade level, pick the sentence structures you want students to practise, and generate. You can regenerate individual sentences if one doesn't fit.
Turning sentences into activities
Once you have sentences you're happy with, choose how students will interact with them. Options include removing all punctuation, removing punctuation and capital letters, removing only sentence-ending punctuation, removing commas, removing capital letters, or choosing exactly which marks to remove yourself.
Student version and answer key
Each activity includes a student version with the marks removed, and a teacher answer key. The answer key keeps the original sentences so you can check student work quickly.
Printing and PDF download
Every activity can be printed directly or downloaded as a PDF to share, save, or print later.
Saving and organising resources
Save resources you want to reuse and find them again from the Saved page, organised so you can quickly pull up a set for the right class or topic.
