Privacy Policy
Spark Literacy is an AI platform that helps teachers generate literacy resources for their classrooms. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices teachers have.
Information we collect
- Account details, such as your name, email address, and your chosen country and language preferences.
- The topics, year levels and resources you create using the generator, which are saved to your account.
- Subscription and payment records, such as your plan, billing period and transaction history.
Information we do not collect
We never see or store your payment card details. All payments are handled directly by our third-party payment provider, and Spark Literacy only retains a record that a payment was made, not the card information itself.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the sentence and resource generator.
- To personalise results, such as matching year levels and using the spelling conventions of your country.
- To manage billing, subscriptions and customer support.
- To understand how the product is used so we can improve the generator over time.
Sharing of information
We do not sell teacher or classroom data. We only share information with the third-party payment provider that processes subscriptions, and with infrastructure providers (such as hosting and email delivery) that are necessary to run the service. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and resource records for as long as your account is active so that your saved resources remain available to you. You can request deletion of your account and the resources associated with it at any time via the contact details below.
Your choices
- Update your account preferences at any time in your account settings.
- Manage or cancel your subscription from your account.
- Contact us by email with any privacy question or request.
Children's privacy
Spark Literacy is a tool built for teachers and other education professionals, not a student-facing social network, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Teachers remain responsible for following their own school's policies when using generated resources with students.
Cookies and sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. These are used to operate the service, not to track you across other websites.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect account and resource information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
International transfers
Spark Literacy is used by teachers internationally, including in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Information may therefore be processed in a country different from your own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the service evolves. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
Exercising your rights
To ask a question, request a copy of your information, or ask us to delete your account, please contact us via our contact page. Spark Literacy is the entity responsible for this service.
